Join us for this exciting program by Ghanaian artist Kwame Brenya. He will offer us an introduction to Adinkra symbols, their history and significance, as well as his own insight into how the symbols are a language encrypted with messages for all aspects of life: social, spiritual, economic and political.
The event will be in English. Light food and drink will be served, and books will be available for sale after the event.
Kwame Brenya is currently an artist in residence in Berlin, supported by the Va-Bene Scholarship and Mentorship Residency Abroad. He is working at the scholarship’s cooperation residency partner ZK/U (Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik).
